Prof. Georgi Chankov to FACTI: What happened between Iran and Israel was a theatrical performance (VIDEO) - 1

The topic of Iran continues to be hot, but in recent days the understanding of what has happened and what is to come has increased. As for these 5% by 2035 for armaments in the EU - it may happen, it may not happen. I will refer to the legendary tale from Central Asia, which says that “… by 2035 the donkey will die, the padishah“. At the NATO meeting in The Hague, the organizers made sure that there was not a single sharp question, and we heard a nice promise for a bright future. We also saw the shortest possible meetings in The Hague so that Trump could escape prematurely. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the “FACTI“ studio and the show “Conversation“ Prof. Georgi Chankov, lecturer in international relations at the UNWE.

“As for Iran and Israel, I fear that we will still be talking a lot, because what has happened so far was a theatrical performance. The feeling remains that some kind of postponement is being achieved, which analysts believe will last no more than six months. Why? Because neither side achieves its goals. We hear reproaches against Trump that he hoped to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. I have not seen his desire to make peace, because he wants peace, but under conditions that he dictates. He can present himself to the audience as a person who has solved a sharp problem with a swing. But in what direction will the tension go…“, the guest also shared.

“Thanks to the sudden attack, Israel has dominance over Iran in its airspace. Iran will certainly make every attempt to regain control of its airspace, but I expect more bombing from Israel if things move in that direction. It is important for Israel to maintain freedom of airspace over Iran so that it can act at any time if it decides to launch an attack. Iran will not leave this alone. They have six months to decide how they will plug the biggest holes in their defense or in their nuclear program. Iran will not leave things in this hanging state“, the UNWE lecturer also said.
