The investigation against Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev and the other detainees in Varna continues. The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation against the four for crimes in office, bribery and money laundering.
Last night, the detainees were taken out of the district administration, where they were arrested, to be brought to Sofia, bTV reported.
Meanwhile, hundreds filled the square in front of the Varna municipality in support of the detained mayor. The dissatisfied held up posters with messages like “Kotsev is not to blame for not being sold“, “This mayor is not corrupt“.
Today, some of the protesters are expected to attend the session, which will discuss the adoption of the budget of the Varna municipality.
