„Such protests cannot shake the joint government”, said the deputy chairman of the BSP Kaloyan Pargov to NOVA NEWS.
Pargov was categorical – every opposition party has the right to show and defend its positions, as long as it does not violate the law.
„We have seen similar actions before. I have also led several protests. In this particular case, greater commitment could have been gained if we were talking about a purely civil protest, without the presence of political figures”, said Pargov. He also refuted political comments that compare the situation to the beginnings of a dictatorship.
„Investigating corruption is not illegal, but the rights of any citizen, regardless of their status, should not be violated. These factors must always be observed, and the media and political response that is being put here must also exert the necessary pressure on the investigators to fulfill their tasks adequately”, pointed out the deputy chairman of the BSP.
„I hear the idea of closing down the CPC. However, the truth is that one of the most important elements in the CPC is its register – and it needs to be developed further. This register also concerns prevention – it is precisely in this prevention that all systems in the state must be united and connected to that of the CPC”, said Pargov.
