Sociologist Andrey Raichev is an exclusive guest on “Darik's Week“ and comments on the leading topics on the political scene in our country. At the forefront was the political formation “We Continue the Change“ and the processes surrounding it, defined by many as political repression. An example of this is the mayor of Varna, who remains in custody despite criticism from experts of the insufficient evidentiary material in the case against him. The main focus of the conversation was also the demonstrations in several Bulgarian cities in support of Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev.
“The only stratum in Bulgaria that skillfully protests is the urban intelligentsia. This is very reminiscent of the protests in 2020. However, looking at the face and mood of the government, they are not afraid. Not only are they not afraid, but they even feel guaranteed winners.“
“They are currently doomed to demonstrate “we are alone and few“. These demonstrations show only two things politically. Otherwise, I respect these things very much. Civil protest is a wonderful thing. Very important for Bulgaria“, he was categorical.

Raichev expressed his opinion that it is completely obvious that Borisov is courting his colleagues from „Democratic Bulgaria“.

There is such an idea that is being expressed - Zhelyazkov should vacate Borisov's place, who should become prime minister."
