Although September marks the beginning of meteorological autumn, the feeling of late summer will persist in the foreseeable two-week period. It will be predominantly sunny with minimal disturbances. In many regions of the country, it will remain dry, with a high risk of fires. Although the mornings are cool, daytime thermometers will fluctuate in summer values, reported "Nova TV".

The first week of September begins with sunshine with temporary increases in clouds, more significant over Northern Bulgaria, where on Monday there will be short, insignificant precipitation. A cool wind with noticeable gusts is expected in the Danube Plain. Daytime temperatures will be in the range of 27 to 32-33 degrees. On Tuesday – friendly, sunny, hot in the afternoon with temperatures between 30 and 35 degrees.

A little colder air will invade in the middle of the week. On Wednesday and Thursday in Western Bulgaria there will be strong pulsations of northwesterly wind with conditions for short, intense rainfall with thunderstorms and a risk of hail. However, there will be no precipitation over the eastern half of the country. Daily thermometer values will slightly decrease, but without drastic anomalies.

By the end of the week it will be sunny, with temporary increases in clouds. A cool wind will blow. There will be a potential for short summer rainfall on Sunday, but in isolated places in Eastern Bulgaria. Afternoon temperatures will range between 28 and 33 degrees.

The week before the first day of school will also begin with similar temperatures. The period will be predominantly sunny. On Monday and Tuesday, there will still be conditions for short summer rainfall in the mountains. Daytime temperatures - 28-33 degrees, and will increase slightly during the week.

BY THE SEA

On the Black Sea coast, most of the days in the first half of September will be sunny. Early forecasts allow for temporary increases in clouds from September 7 to 10 with possible short and strictly local precipitation. Daily temperatures will fluctuate around 30 degrees. In the first 2-3 days of September, the sea will be relatively calm, after which the forecast is for more dynamic waves, especially on the southern coasts.

DROUGHT AND RISK OF FIRE

The summer drought in many regions of the country will continue in September. Early forecasts for the month exclude the formation of cyclones with irrigating rain. The expected precipitation is of a local nature, mainly in Western Bulgaria. In the eastern half of the country, minor disturbances will not compensate for the lack of moisture.

The risk of fires will also remain relatively high. In areas without precipitation, drought is a major factor. We also add the traditional preparation of winter food over an open fire at this time of year. Fields are usually cleared of agricultural land, which is sometimes accompanied by burning of dry vegetation.

Throughout the month, average temperatures are expected to be around and above the norm, which for most of the country is between 17 and 20°C, and for the mountains - between 3 and 10. The highest temperatures in September will be between 31 and 36 degrees, and the lowest - between 5 and 10, higher on the Black Sea coast, and lower on the high fields of Western Bulgaria on individual days in the second half of the month.

The monthly precipitation amount will be around and below the norm, which for the plains is between 40 and 60 l/sq m, and for the mountainous and sub-mountainous regions - from 60 to 80 l/sq m.

By the end of the second and third ten days, the outlook is for dry and calm weather, with low cloudiness in the morning and many sunny hours during the day, as well as temperatures above climatic norms.

There is a slightly greater probability of more changeable weather, with precipitation conditions and temperatures closer to climatic norms, around September 18-20 and September 23-25.

On September 22 at 9:19 p.m. the autumnal equinox occurs and astronomical autumn begins.
