In today's times, more than ever, Bulgaria needs to have a national ideal that would unite the people. Because only together can we fight the people who have been robbing the state for decades and trying to sell our future. This is what MECH leader Radostin Vassilev wrote on his Facebook page on the occasion of 140 years since the Unification of Bulgaria, reports BTA.
Today we reread one of the brightest and most memorable pages in the new Bulgarian history. We recall with trepidation the words that shook Europe on September 6, 1885: “Brothers! The hour of our unification has struck!“, Vassilev pointed out and added that today we recall the fateful days 140 years ago, when the Bulgarian people showed unity and wisdom and took their destiny into their own hands. In his words, the unjust Treaty of Berlin divided the Bulgarian land with artificial borders, but failed to divide the Bulgarian nation.
“The unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia is not a one-time act. The existence of the young Bulgarian state, its free and upward development would not have been possible without the brilliant diplomatic and military defense of the Union and all the precious sacrifices made during the Serbo-Bulgarian War“, the leader of MECH also wrote and called on their determination and selflessness to give us strength in the quest to build a modern and prosperous Bulgaria.
The Union strengthens the self-confidence of the Bulgarian people. They are filled with the ambition to create their own historical destiny! They can do it now, Radostin Vassilev also stated.
