The lack of places in state kindergartens is a problem that can be solved with the construction of more kindergartens. However, such an investment is expensive, and therefore the renovation of the old base is often resorted to.
And yet new kindergartens are being built. Their vision and functionality is far more modern than the old, even renovated base. The most recent example of this is 164 AD “Zornitsa“ in the capital's Gorna Banya district.
The building is completely ready to welcome children in 6 groups from the new school year. Bright and spacious study and sleeping rooms, a gym, a kitchen block, playgrounds and a sports field will be available to the children. The entrance lobby is colorful, and the project provides for children to be able to descend from the second floor via a slide.
The idea for the building arose in 2017 from the Initiative Committee of Gorna Banya. In 2019, the project for its construction was selected through an international competition.
The beginning of construction activities were set three and a half years ago. The increase in the price of construction materials forced the builders to stop construction after receiving Act 14, but in the fall of 2022 the works were resumed.
