The police in Burgas arrested a man for the attempted murder of a 25-year-old woman. This is the same man who in 2017 stabbed 11-year-old Nikol in an elevator in “Meden Rudnik“ - Ivan Iliev, Nova TV reported.
On Monday evening, shortly before midnight, the police received a signal from the University Hospital - Burgas about a 25-year-old woman admitted with multiple stab wounds and in danger of life. Subsequently, the victim said that that same evening in an apartment in the “Meden Rudnik“ residential area she was attacked with a knife by an acquaintance. She suffered slash and stab wounds to her arms, chest and back.
The man was arrested, and investigators determined that he and the injured young woman had an intimate relationship, after which a scandal ensued, in which he used a kitchen knife, with which he first wounded her in the neck.
After a short struggle, the woman managed to escape, and a man passing by in the area took her to the Emergency Department of the University Hospital - Burgas. Iliev was arrested for a period of up to 24 hours, and the case was reported to the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office.
The detainee is the same one who caused the death of 11-year-old Nikol in 2017. Before that, he and the girl had agreed online to go up to the roof of block 108 to smoke.
During the court hearing, it became clear that Ivan, who was a minor at the time, had sexual desires for the girl, but she rejected them, which provoked his aggression and the subsequent murder. The initial sentence of 8 years in prison was reduced to 6 and Iliev has been free since November 2022.
