A 20-year-old criminally active man was detained in Sliven after he broke into a house through a terrace and pointed a weapon at police officers.
The incident occurred in the residential area “Dame Gruev“, and the man was quickly neutralized by the teams that arrived on site.
Shortly before 7:00 p.m. today, the duty unit of the Sliven Police Department received a signal from 112 about a person breaking into a terrace of an apartment on the first floor of a residential block in the residential area “Dame Gruev”. The nearest patrol team was immediately sent to the scene, and subsequently three more police teams. It was established that a man was in the apartment who was not one of the residents there. He pointed a weapon at the police officers (according to initial data, a gas weapon).
He was immediately neutralized and detained. He was taken to the Department of Internal Affairs. It was determined that the man is 20 years old from the city of Sliven, criminally charged under Articles 195 and 198 and 354a of the Criminal Code. The prosecutor on duty has been notified. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
