The drug was found in a Turkish bullet which had traveled to Romania.
The heroin was pressed into strips stuck to mattresses and was very difficult to detect on X-rays. It was installed in the mattresses at the factory.
Since Monday, a joint specialized police operation of the Border Police, GDBOP, Customs and the National Narcotics Agency has been taking place at the checkpoint. The border authorities will provide more details about the action and the captured record shipment tomorrow.
