Pre-trial proceedings have been opened for the death of a woman from the village of Strazha in Smolyan, district prosecutor Nedko Simov told BTA.
The incident was reported to emergency number 112 yesterday, in the early hours of the morning.
“An investigation is underway. We are waiting for the results of the autopsy," the district attorney said. According to him, it was evident from the examination that it was a gunshot wound to the body with a pistol. The leading version of the prosecutor's office is self-harm, but they are working on all possible versions.
The initial actions have been carried out, the relevant expertises have been appointed and the main witnesses have been questioned, added Nedko Simov.
