The temporary parliamentary commission for verification of facts and circumstances regarding the activities of the group around Martin Bojanov - the Notary and the group around the former investigator Petyo Petrov - Euroto heard the businessman Iliya Zlatanov, known from the case " "The Eight Dwarfs" and his lawyer Gergina Ganeva. Zlatanov told about his relationship with Petrov and about his attempts to take away his business.

When asked by the GERB-SDS parliamentary group "what is the status of the pending files and inspections and how Zlatanov has defended himself against the actions and inactions of the institutions", Zlatanov explained that "while Borislav Sarafov is the chief prosecutor and such as prosecutor Dimitar Frantisek are in such positions, he will not feel at ease in this country".
Zlatanov said that his meetings with Petyo Petrov took place after he texted Petrov that they should see each other, and he contacted him back through the two men he had assigned to follow Zlatanov. He said that he saw Borislav Sarafov twice in the "Eight Dwarfs" restaurant. "Petrov used to address me with ``Welcome, Ilya,'' and Sarafov with ``Come in, Bobby, draw your own conclusions,'' Zlatanov also said.
He added that he saw prosecutor Dimitar Frantisek three times in the restaurant, explaining that he usually entered after the prosecutor left.
Petrov's first boasts were always "Geshev, when he becomes the chief prosecutor, you will see what will happen" and "You know who I work with - Peevski," said Iliya Zlatanov, quoted by BTA.
At the moment, Iliya Zlatanov's business has been returned to him, but not thanks to any institution, explained his lawyer Greta Ganeva, who was also heard together with him.
She pointed out that at the time assets from Iliya Zlatanov's elevator business were diverted to a third legal entity, his cars with a total value of over BGN 1 million were also transferred. One of these cars "Toyota Tundra" it was subsequently sold by Mladen Marinov's daughter for BGN 5,000. From then on, they don't know what's going on with that car. As an interesting fact, she added that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has no information about what happens to the rest of the transferred cars.
Attorney Ganeva also proposed to the commission to request a reference from the National Revenue Agency (NAA) to check whether there is a bank account in Cyprus in the name of Ivan Geshev since 2014 and what is the progress on it. The same check should be made regarding an account in the name of Petyo Petrov and Lyubena Petrova, now Pavlova, in Turkey.
Deputies in the parliamentary committee voted to summon Delyan Peevski, Hristo Ivanov, Lozan Panov, Petar Kardzhilov, Kalin Stoyanov, Tsvetan Vasilev, Lyubena Pavlova, Emil Petrov and Anton Slavchev for hearing in the future meetings.
