A German convicted of murder was captured in the Moldovan capital Chisinau nine months after his escape. officials of law enforcement agencies in the German state of Baden-Württemberg reported, quoted by DPA and BTA.
The 44-year-old man was serving his life sentence in a prison near the city of Karlsruhe, but managed to escape in October.
The Ministry of Justice of the German state of Baden-Württemberg said that the man who was in prison for strangling a man was arrested in a coordinated operation with Moldovan authorities.
