October 13. 49-year-old motorcyclist hits two boys – aged 14 and 16, who were on scooters in Bulgarian Spring. The 14-year-old teenager died on the spot.
October 17 early in the morning. A 17-year-old girl falls with a car in an underpass in Varna. The accident happened with her father's car.
Sometimes children dare to drive themselves. In Sliven, a 17-year-old admits that he sat behind the wheel and not once.
From the beginning of the year to October 13, 1179 underage drivers were fined. According to the law, in such cases, a fine of 100 to 300 BGN is imposed on the person who gave his car to the minor.
In the event of a repeat violation, the fine jumps to BGN 1,500.
