The police in Burgas discovered a cannabis drug greenhouse on a private property in the Sredets village of Suhodol, BNT reported.

During the operation, over 240 plants up to 1.60 meters high were discovered, which were ready to be picked. According to investigators, the discovered quantity on the market would be worth 1 million leva. The greenhouse was powered by "green energy" with the help of solar photovoltaics.

"I am specifically seeing for the first time the use of the so-called "green energy" for autonomous electricity production and powering the greenhouse. I would say highly technologically equipped, with drip irrigation, large filters, professional lamps", said Senior Commissioner Vladimir Marinov, Director of the Burgas Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"If we assume that the dry leaf mass that could be separated from the plants is approximately 50 kg, then the value of the high-risk narcotic substance would be around 1 million leva", added Georgi Chinev, Administrative Head of the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office.

Three criminals were detained during the operation. They were preparing the finished product for distribution in the resorts on the Black Sea coast.
