Three people have been detained for the attack on the capital's "Slaveykov" Square, Nova TV reported. The Ministry of Interior press center did not comment.
Footage has appeared on the Internet showing a group of young people attacking random citizens in the center of the capital in the wee hours of the night.
Earlier today, the director of the Internal Affairs Directorate Lyubomir Nikolov stated that the aggression was completely unprovoked.
Minister Daniel Mitov pointed out that over the past 1 month, over 4,000 people have been removed from anonymity by local groups. He added that the gangs are gradually disappearing, they have episodic manifestations, but the police are dealing with them.
And on the occasion of the holiday, Mitov said that the biggest reward for the authorities is the safe and peaceful streets of the cities.
