At the Toronto International Film Festival, Armas surprised his fans when he announced that he was leaving the mecca of cinema.
In an interview with E!News, the 36-year-old Cuban revealed the reasons why she decided to leave Los Angeles.
I think that nowadays we all want to break away from this madness that has taken over the whole world. We would all like to have the opportunity to build our own personal space. And so for myself I decided to make this decision, she explained.
Armas added that her house in Vermont is located in the middle of picturesque mountain scenery and at the same time is relatively close to such cities as New York and Boston.
„I found a place that really makes me feel good. This will be my little refuge”, added the actress and specified that she found it in 2020, shortly after her breakup with Ben Affleck.
There always comes that moment in your life when you realize you need to make a change. For me, this moment has arrived, she added.
Ana de Armas, however, is adamant that she will by no means abandon her film career and will continue to work on new projects, but she prefers to create away from the glamour, vanity, noise and stardom of Hollywood.
