The construction activities envisaged under the administrative contract have been completed on time and work continues on the equipment of the “Sofia” Theater, the Sofia Municipality reports. There is no risk of losing European funding for the implementation of the project.
The construction and assembly works related to the reconstruction of the “Sofia” Theater, envisaged for implementation and financed according to the concluded Administrative Contract for the provision of grant aid were completed within the specified period and a Statutory Act Form No. 15 has been signed for the site to establish the suitability for acceptance of the construction (part, stage thereof), according to Regulation No. 3 of July 31, 2003. of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW) for drawing up acts and protocols during construction.
The signed statement of findings was sent to the Managing Authority of the Operational Programme “Regions in Growth“ 2014-2020 (MA of OPRD 2014-2020), through the Information System for Management and Monitoring of EU Funds in Bulgaria 2020, within the specified period, according to the concluded Annex No. 6 to the ADBFP – 31.07.2025, together with the required technical reporting information and documentation.
The MA of OPRD 2014-2020 provided an opportunity to sign an amendment to the ADBFP, by concluding an Annex to the contract to extend its term, and Sofia Municipality took advantage of the opportunity provided, in view of the necessary technological time to complete the construction documentation for the site and submit it to the Directorate of “National Construction Control“ (DNSK) for issuance of a Permit to Use (RP) for the site, and given the established deadlines for consideration by the DNSK of the documents, appointment, conduct of a State Acceptance Commission, and issuance of a permit to use, by submitting a request for amendment to the ADBFP to extend its term until 19.12.2025. including.
The submitted request for amendment of the ADBFP successfully passed the verification procedure, as the provided documentation and information on the implementation of the site was reviewed, it was approved by the MA of OPRD 2014-2020, and on 31.07.2025, Annex No. 7 to the contract was concluded, according to which the deadline for implementation of the project activities was extended until 19.12.2025.
At the moment, activities are being implemented at the site under the Contract No. СОА23-ДГ55-672/05.10.2023 concluded by the previous management of the Sofia Municipality. with the subject “Supply and installation of professional sound systems, stage/effect lighting, multimedia, technological equipment (stage mechanization) halls for the project: Major repair/reconstruction of the “Sofia“ theater, located in the UPI II-for theater, quarter 582, area “Zone G-13 - south“, according to the plan of the city of Sofia, “Oborishte“ district, “Yanko Sakazov“ 23A“ blvd., in the amount of 18,436,234.64 leva including VAT.
