A Dublin drug dealer was caught supplying cannabis and tablets for sale to another defendant at Dublin County Court during his sentencing for attempted robbery.

Tony Rowe, 30, with 124 previous convictions, 29 of which were for drug possession and theft, pleaded guilty before magistrates in the Irish capital to possession of drugs for sale or supply on April 15, 2024.

He brought the drugs into the courtroom and handed over €160 worth of alprazolam tablets and some cannabis to another man who was in custody at the same court hall.

Defense lawyer David Bassett emphasized that his client had previously pleaded guilty.

Judge Kelly noted that he was already serving a sentence that would prevent him from being released before October 2026 and imposed only 3 months of additional sentence, without dramatically extending his prison term.
