Former CSKA coach Alexander Stankov believes that the break for the national team is welcome.
He commented to "Mach Telegraf", quoted by Topsport, on the situation at the club and stated that thanks to the break, the current team coach Hristo Yanev has time to work in peace.
Stankov believes that there are many talented specialists in Bulgaria, who, however, are not given a chance to show what they are capable of.
"In my opinion, the break came at the right time, especially for Hristo Yanev. Let him also have time and work in peace. Itso is very ambitious and is taking over CSKA at a very difficult time. On the other hand, this is a good time for a young coach to impose his views and unleash his potential. He has to cope with the difficult situation. This is a huge test for him too. I have always been behind brave and capable people. He has to be decisive. I hope he succeeds! I keep my fingers crossed for him!
In Bulgaria we have many young and capable specialists, and not only in football. But they are not given the opportunity. This is very unfortunate and makes me angry. Now there are quite important matches ahead. After the break we face Dobrudzha in Dobrich. The only thing we can expect is a victory for CSKA. With all my respect to Dobrudzha, but the "reds" must win by a margin. We should not think about anything different at all. We have to beat them and I believe it will happen. If we start to worry about such teams, it is not good.
Yes, indeed some people are already worried about such teams, because they have recently started to gain self-confidence against us with the results they have achieved. CSKA must win from here on out. Yes, it is clear that some of the players do not have the qualities for CSKA. Nevertheless, some of them have a monthly salary equal to that of a football player from Dobrich for a whole year. It does not even cross my mind that we will experience difficulties against them," said Stankov.
