We have a European champion in boxing for students - Presiyan Genov. Under the guidance of legends Petar Lesov and Mihail Takov, our talent rejoiced at the championship in Budva, Montenegro, reports BTA.
Genov played a great match on the way to victory over Damiano Rizzo. Our national team coped with the Italian in the final clash in the ring in Budva. He showed class and skills to forge the success that secured him the gold medal.
Thus, Bulgaria finished with 4 medals at the championship in Montenegro. In addition to Presiyan's title, our country has three more bronze medals in the person of Ana Dobreva (40 kg), Nicholas Nikolov (66 kg) and Valeri Todorov (80 kg).
In addition to the strong performance in the ring, Bulgarian boxing received another recognition in the person of Maria Blagoeva. The beautiful face of BF Boxing earned the prize for best referee during the European Championship. She was honored for the excellent work she showed in her judging during the championship matches.
