Vladimir Zografski achieved the best ranking for Bulgaria at the World Ski Flying Championships, BTA reported.
The Bulgarian ski jumper consolidated his excellent form this season, taking 23rd place on the 235-meter hill in Oberstdorf (Germany).
Zografski was 18th after the first two rounds on Friday, and today he made a weaker third attempt of 175 meters due to wind, and then jumped 206.5 meters in his last attempt.
Thus, with a total of 728.6 points, the Bulgarian finished 23rd, which is his best ranking at the World Ski Flying Championships and the best in the history of Bulgarian ski jumping.
World champion in Oberstdorf became the leader of the World Cup this season Domen Prevc (Slovenia), who finished with a total of 905.4 points. Second was the Norwegian Marius Lindvik with 845.9, and the top three was completed by the Japanese Ren Nikaido with 842.4 points.
The longest flight in the two competition days was made by the silver medalist Marius Lindvik, who landed at 231.5 meters in his last attempt.
