Great Britain's Matt Weston lived up to expectations and won the title in the Olympic men's skeleton competition at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. The 28-year-old two-time world and European champion triumphed convincingly with a total time of 3:43.33 minutes, setting a new course record.
Silver medal went to Axel Jung. The German finished 0.88 seconds behind the winner and for the second time in a row he won silver at the Olympic Games, after being second four years ago.
Olympic champion from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Christopher Grotther, finished in third place. He finished 1.07 seconds behind Weston's championship time.
With his success, Weston brought Great Britain its first medal and first Olympic title at the Games in Italy.
