Evgeni Malkin intends to stay in the National Hockey League for at least one more season and is not currently considering the possibility of continuing his career in the Kontinental Hockey League. This was revealed by journalist Dan Kingersky, who published the words of the Russian forward on the social network X. The Pittsburgh Penguins were eliminated in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs after a 2:4 defeat in the series against the Philadelphia Flyers. The 39-year-old Malkin's contract expires after the end of the season and his future with the club remains unclear, BTA reports.

„I definitely want to continue playing in the NHL. I hope to stay for at least another year. I'm not thinking about the KHL right now. I understand that this is a difficult situation for general manager Kyle Dubas. "The club probably wants to rejuvenate the squad and I accept that this is part of the business. If I don't stay in Pittsburgh, I hope there will be other opportunities," Malkin commented.
