Manchester City must use their pain of relegation from the Champions League as motivation to achieve something special in the last weeks of the season, defender Kyle Walker believes, BTA reported.
The squad led by manager Pep Guardiola is the leader in the provisional standings in the Premier League with 73 points after 32 rounds. "The Citizens" are 2 points ahead of the second and third, respectively Arsenal and Liverpool, who have 71 points in their assets.
Manchester City will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
"It hurts and we have to live through that pain," Walker said.
"We are having an excellent run in the Premier League, a really big game against Chelsea and we have to use that as motivation to go forward and do something special. We have a great opportunity in front of us. We owe it to the fans as a team because we worked really hard to throw it all away at this point," added Kyle Walker.
