World No. 1 in men's tennis Novak Djokovic was injured on Friday after his victory in the second round of the clay tournament of the series "Masters" in Rome, Italy, reports sportal.bg.
As is known, the Serbian won his opening match in the tournament over Corentin Moutte from France 6:3, 6:1, but in the minutes after the end of the match, the record holder of Grand Slam titles was involved in an accident.
While signing autographs for spectators on center court, Nole was hit in the head by a metal bottle, prompting the 36-year-old to be rushed to the dressing room. Subsequently, the organizers assured that everything with the Serbian's health is fine.
The tournament released a video showing that Novak Djokovic was hit on the head by accident.
