Dia Evtimova won the doubles title at the clay tournament in Antalya with a prize fund of 15,000 dollars. In an even final, Evtimova and her partner from Italy, Verena Melis, beat Aya El Auni from Morocco and Francesca Pache from Italy with 6:4, 7:6(2). The match lasted an hour and 34 minutes, BTA broadcasts.
The match went through many twists and turns, as in the second set Evtimova and Melis had to fend off four set points. However, they managed, and in the tiebreak they were convincing to win it with 7:2 points, converting the last seven in it.
For 37-year-old Evtimova, this is the 19th doubles title in her career and the first in the last two years.
