Cherno More defeated the champion Ludogorets 2:0 in a match from the playoffs in the First League for the 2024/25 season, FOCUS reported.
The match was played at the "Ticha" stadium in Varna.
The goals for the "Sailors" were scored by 20-year-old striker Nikolay Zlatev in the 60th minute and Weslen Junior 6 minutes later.
In the first half, the guests, who secured Bulgaria's 14th consecutive title ahead of schedule, opened the score in the match. This happened in the 11th minute when Swiss international Kwadwo Dua scored. However, after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed due to offside.
With the success, Cherno More at least temporarily moved up to 3rd place in the standings with 57 points - 1 ahead of Arda, who have a game in hand.
If Varna finish in the "Top 3" in the final standings, they will secure a playoff spot for the Conference League tournament.
