Ashley Young, goalkeepers Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia are leaving Everton, BTA reports. The 39-year-old Young joined the "caramels" in July 2023 and recorded 68 matches with two goals.
The 37-year-old Begovic returned to "Goodison Park" last summer, after playing for the club in the period 2021-2023, recording a total of ten matches. The longest-serving player in the blue jersey is 25-year-old Joao Virginia, who arrived from Arsenal in 2018. However, in seven seasons, he has only made eight appearances for the team.
On social media, Young announced that he has no intention of retiring and will continue his career. Of course, he did not forget to thank the fans before the home game against Southampton, which will be the last for the team before moving to the new "Hill Dickinson" stadium.
