Carlos Alcaraz defeated Yannick Sinner 7:6(5), 6:1 in the final in Rome and became the fifth person in history to triumph in all three "Masters" on clay, reports sportal.bg.
The Spaniard recorded his fourth consecutive victory over the Italian in a rivalry that is considered by many to be the new great and, accordingly, the successor to the battles of the "Big Three". Alacras now leads with 7-4 wins against Sinner, and three of his successes have come in finals, although today's was the biggest (the previous ones were in Umag 2022 and Beijing 2024).
It was Carlos who was the last person before today to beat Sinner, which happened in the final in Beijing last year. He continues to lead in matches won since the start of the 2025 season and now has 30, and will arrive at "Roland Garros" with increased confidence from the triumph in Rome.
