Filip Krastev: I don't know where I'll play - 1

Midfielder Filip Krastev said that he still doesn't know where he will continue his career. The footballer gave an interview to Flashscore, quoted by Topsport, in which he spoke about many topics, including rumors about his transfer to Girona or CSKA.

"Zwolle is the most important club in my career so far, because it is the first major league in which I managed to establish myself. I hope this will be the last step before my big goal: to play in one of the five best leagues in Europe. As for the style, the football is fast and open, with matches in which many goals are scored. The Dutch league is very suitable for young and developing players, which is why so many talents come out of it. This was a big step forward in my development.

I don't know yet where I will play next season, nor what my real options are. I hope things will become clear soon. I have always aimed for the highest level as a footballer. I don't have any strict preferences for a league, as long as it is one of the top five in Europe.

No one from CSKA has contacted me personally. My two favorite clubs in Bulgaria will always be Slavia and Levski, and I would be happy to play for one of them again one day. But right now I don't think about returning to the Bulgarian league. My focus is elsewhere: I want to play football at the highest level possible.

The Spanish La Liga is unique. To be part of it, no matter which team, would be a dream come true. For me, it would be a huge challenge, but also a great pleasure to play with such players and at this level, because in La Liga every match is at a high level.

The qualifiers start with the most beautiful match of all: against Spain, and at home. It will be incredible to face the European champions. They are one of the best teams in the world and, of course, it will be very difficult. But in a match like this, we have to go out with confidence and without tension, just enjoy and give 100%, leave everything on the pitch. If we want a result, it will only be through team play, because that is the only way to take something from a team like Spain.

Unfortunately, I have to admit that there has been no significant progress, but rather individual flashes in the national team. "We need to raise the level - both individually and collectively - if we want to be competitive, especially in the upcoming matches, where the opponents will be much stronger than those in the Nations League," said Krastev.
