We won 11 medals at the European Games for athletes with Down Syndrome, reports BTA. Our nationals ended with 6 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
On the last day of the athletics championship, the graduates of the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity won two more awards.
The European record holder in the 100 meters and champion in the triathlon and long jump, Alexander Asenov, also triumphed in the 200 meters with a time of 28:84 seconds.
In the same women's discipline, Radena Angelova, who took the titles in the 800 and 1500 meter race walking, became the European vice-champion with an achievement of
38.17 seconds.
