Levski shines in the championship: scored 5 goals against Montana at home - 1

Marin Petkov scored two goals, and the vice-champion Levski started the new season in the Bulgarian football efbet League with a 5:0 victory against the newcomer Montana. For the "blues" this was a rehearsal for the upcoming home game against the Portuguese Braga in the second round of the Europa League on Thursday, BTA reported.

Levski was a clear favorite for the victory of "Georgi Asparuhov" and justified the expectations of its fans right from the start. In the sixth minute, Marin Petkov passed to the new addition Radoslav Kirilov in the penalty area and he scored his debut goal with a beautiful shot into the upper left corner.

"The Blues" dominated the field and until the half-time of the first half, Marin Petkov missed after a header from a clear position, and Mustafa Sangare failed to overcome Vasil Simeonov.

Petkov, in whom there is serious interest from Rakuw Częstochowa, added a goal to his assist in the 42nd minute. Mustafa Sangare lost a high ball in the penalty area, but got it back and was fouled by Nikola Borisov. The Bulgarian international took the responsibility to shoot from the penalty spot and was accurate for 2:0.

Levski scored the next goal in the 58th minute, again from a penalty. Maicon, who did not play against Hapoel Be'er Sheva due to a suspension, was brought down in the penalty area, but this time one of the heroes of the Europa League match stood behind the spot - Sangare. He was accurate in the bottom right corner.

The hosts managed to score another goal in the 61st minute. Karl Fabien took the right wing and sent the ball in front of the goal to Sangare, who was about to head it towards the goal. He was overtaken by Denis Dinev, who finished the job of the Malian with an own goal.

The penalties continued, but the third one went to Montana. Georgi Kostadinov unintentionally played with his hand in the Levski penalty area after a cross and Ivan Kokonov took the shot, but Svetoslav Vutsov continued his series. After saving three shots from the penalty spot against Beer Sheva, Levski's Guard caught this one too.

The fifth goal in Montana's goal was also the most beautiful on the warm Sofia evening. Levski received a foul on the right wing and Marin Petkov raised his hand to cross, but actually shot the ball hard towards the far corner and it got tangled again in the guests' net in the 73rd minute.
