Italian Cataldo took the first stage of the cycling Tour of Bulgaria  - 1

Italian Lorenzo Cataldo from Gragnano Sporting Club was the fastest in the first stage of the 72nd edition of the cycling Tour of Bulgaria, BTA reports.
He covered the distance of 122.5 kilometers from Primorsko to Burgas in 2:30:06. Second and third with the same time are respectively Nikiforos Arvanitou (Greece) and Albert Gathemann (Germany). The mayor of Burgas Municipality, Dimitar Nikolov, personally awarded the best riders in the first stage.

A Bulgarian finished among the top 10 - Martin Marinov, who is with the winner's time.

The general classification is led by the winner of yesterday's prologue, Ognen Ilic (Serbia) from the Borac Cacak team with 2:34:27 hours, who leads by 3 seconds ahead of the German Felix Gross and Nikiforos Arvanitou.

The third stage of the Tour of Bulgaria tomorrow is 134.2 km from Karnobat to Kazanlak. The cycling tour route offers challenges from coastal sections and flat sections to mountain climbs and speed sprints. 120 cyclists from 20 countries are participating in the Tour of Bulgaria.
