Sweden and Denmark are not in the eurozone. In these countries, the GDP is better than countries that are in the eurozone. That is, their decision not to be in the eurozone is correct. The Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania categorically do not want to be in the eurozone. What is Bulgaria doing? They tell us how we are flying towards the eurozone, how we are one step away. And what is being observed in Europe - the scissors between highly developed and underdeveloped countries in the eurozone are opening up. This was announced to Lili Marinkova in the studio “FACTI“ and the show “Conversation“ by Prof. Rumen Gechev, a lecturer at the UNWE and a former MP from the Bulgarian Socialist Party.
“We hear how pathetic politicians are pushing us towards the eurozone. The Eurozone had 170% debt years ago, and for the last few years it has been 130%. Bulgaria's debt is a little over 20%. Where are we headed... That's what I'm asking. Look, the situation with the Eurozone is as follows - we are running towards the Titanic, which is full of water. Let's wait a little. At least they will pump out some water. The Eurozone is in a debt crisis with some 700 billion euros. If we enter, if there is an earthquake, because at the moment banks and countries are repaying this debt, we will start paying in solidarity. So some countries have spent - the so-called "big cats", and we, if we enter, will pay in solidarity. Sick and healthy. Everyone pays like a pop when they are in the eurozone“, the guest added.
„When we enter the eurozone, the European Central Bank will lay hands on our foreign exchange reserve, which is 42 billion euros - in gold, in securities, etc. The European Central Bank will not take it physically, but it will use it, it will manage it. So our political servants do not say what the benefits of the eurozone are for us, they do not show numbers, but stretch out lokum“, the economist added.
