Toma Belev to FACT: Foresters were promised a 15% salary increase, but there is nowhere to get it (VIDEO)

The police were motivated to be strict with the salary increase and we saw this at the protest of the forest employees. After all, money was directed through the state budget to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but the state did not treat nurses, people in culture, people in healthcare, forestry in the same way. And because the government could not justify the expectations of these sectors and cover at least the inflation for these years, they decided to raise the salaries of structures that are law enforcement. And this is so that these structures can guarantee security. We are talking about the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office. He announced this to Lili Marinkova in the studio “FACT“ and the show “Conversation“ ecologist Toma Belev, co-chair of the “Green Movement“.

“It is clearly visible that an ordinary prosecutor receives more than a minister. The state is simply doing everything possible to cut down individual sectors. They promised forest employees a 15% salary increase, which has nowhere to come from. The economy in the forest sector changes in 15 years, and this is related to the salary of the people who work. When the salary becomes very low, you go to the market - whatever you get from the forest. I have witnessed how something like this was observed in previous years“, Belev also said.

“Some of the forest enterprises work solely in servicing firewood, but in general, all six forest companies in the country are at a loss. There are simply political interests. Perhaps only the South Central Forestry Enterprise is a little better. But the price of wood is decreasing, so this is not a big option“, Belev added.
