The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 71 Russian drones last night, with six regions in the country being hit by record attacks, Ukrinform reports, citing data from the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram, quoted by BTA.
After 9 p.m. last night (Bulgarian time), the Russian forces launched a total of 86 drones, of which 50 were “Shahed“, and the rest were multi-purpose “Geran“ and several other types of UAVs. They were launched from areas near Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
To defend the country, the Ukrainian army uses military aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare, as well as drones and mobile fire groups.
Preliminary reports indicate that by 9 a.m. this morning, 71 drones had been shot down or diverted over Northern, Eastern and Central Ukraine, while 15 drones hit their targets, and debris from downed drones was found in two other locations.
