Zakharova: Bloomberg released a Russophobic fiction - 1

The news about Europe's alleged warning to Moscow about its readiness to shoot down Russian military aircraft is a fantasy that satisfies Russophobia. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, reports Focus.

Earlier, Bloomberg news agency reported, citing sources, that Western Europe had warned Russia of its readiness to respond with "full force" to possible cases of violation of its airspace, including shooting down the violators. According to the agency, the position was brought to Russia's attention during a "tense meeting in Moscow" held at the country's Foreign Ministry.

"You know, I saw this, but I don't understand what it's about at all", Zakharova replies. "It seems to me that these are just another fabrications of this particular Western agency. If we can at least figure out what the meeting is about, then we will be able to understand what all these fantasies are about. And so it's simply impossible to comment.“

The diplomat adds that this "news in quotes" is "invented to develop the theme of this absolutely Russophobic, aggressive, abnormal rhetoric of Western Europeans".

"It seems to me that this is being done deliberately and specifically in order to give greater weight to the statements of representatives of the European Union countries, who are fueling this aggressive rhetoric and, accordingly, the atmosphere around Russia and the future of the European continent in general", continues the spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"When they talk endlessly about the need for militarization, about the need to deal with our country by various methods - accusations, again, about drones, cyberattacks, and so on".
