"Kiev and its European sponsors do not understand the urgency of the moment and do not demonstrate their readiness to conduct honest negotiations, said Sergei Lavrov, speaking at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, FOCUS reported.
"So far, neither Kiev nor its European sponsors are aware of the urgency of the moment and are ready to negotiate honestly", he said.
Lavrov began his speech by recalling the consequences of World War II and moved on to modern conflicts, stating that Russia condemns the October 7 attack, led by Hamas fighters in Gaza, but pointed out that since then "there has been no justification for the brutal killings of Palestinians in Gaza.
Lavrov spoke generally about the state of the international order before turning to the current war in Gaza.
