Deliveries of new weapons to Ukraine will continue despite the US refusal to send "Tomahawk" missiles, said the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, quoted by TASS and BTA.
"This is not the end of the arming of Kiev with new weapons. It will continue and we must be ready for any development of events," the former Russian president wrote on his "Telegram" channel, commenting on US President Donald Trump's decision not to send "Tomahawk" missiles for the time being of Ukraine.
"Trump, during his meeting with the constantly asking for help (Medvedev means Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky - ed. note) said an obvious, but rather curious thing: "Let Russia and Ukraine declare themselves winners in the conflict". Yes, such a thing often happens after the end of military conflicts. However, our case is not like that. The point is not only that we need a victory under conditions known to all. This is an axiom. The point is also that the current Bandera gang will not be recognized as a winner at home under any conditions," Medvedev said and added: "Zelensky understands perfectly well that no one in Ukraine will forgive him for the loss of territories. Therefore, the end of the war will also herald his end, and Trump's thesis in this case does not work".
