According to him, the new US sanctions are an attempt to put pressure on Russia. Putin commented that these are the first direct restrictions imposed by Washington against Moscow in the current context.
Despite the tension between the two countries, the Russian president stressed that there are a number of areas in which Russia and the United States can cooperate and achieve mutually beneficial results.
