Donald Trump confirms: I had an MRI. It was perfect - 1

US President Donald Trump, who is on a tour of Asia, announced today that he had an MRI earlier this month, without specifying which part of his body, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.

"I had an MRI. It was perfect", Trump announced aboard the presidential plane "Air Force One" during his flight to Tokyo.

"Nobody has ever given you (such) information as I have, and if I thought I wasn't (well), I would have told you, I wouldn't have hidden it, I would have done something about it," added Trump, 79, the oldest US president to take office.

The results of his comprehensive medical examination in early October, signed by the head of state's physician, Sean Barbabella, show that Donald Trump "continues to be in extremely good health, with good cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical function".

It was his second medical examination since returning to the White House in January, following his first in April. The frequency has raised questions, as US presidents typically undergo a health check-up once a year. The examination, however, was presented as routine by the White House.

"The doctors said these results were among the best for (my) age; among the best they have ever seen," Trump said today.

In July, the White House announced that the president suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a common and benign condition that in his case manifests itself in particular as swollen ankles.

In addition, many photos show him with bruises on the upper part of his right hand, often covered with a thick layer of makeup. The White House explained these bruises as the result of "frequent handshakes" and Trump's use of aspirin "as part of a standard regimen for the prevention of cardiovascular disease."

Trump has not been spared questions and speculation about his health, although they have been far less intense than those directed at his predecessor, Democrat Joe Biden.
