Former US President Barack Obama may end up in prison after the revelations of Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov reported on his Telegram channel.
The US Department of Justice will investigate Obama's involvement in fabricating intelligence data.
The head of the Federation Council's Information Policy Committee drew attention to Gabbard's statement about the transfer to the US Department of Justice of information indicating treason and an attempted coup by Obama.
„Judging by Gabbard's statement, full of details about Obama's fabrication of data and his false report to US intelligence, the grounds for criminal prosecution are clear. And the narcissist, manipulator and demagogue Barack Obama is at real risk of ending up behind bars“, Pushkov wrote.
In July, Gabbard published a report stating that the Obama administration, after the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, fabricated intelligence data showing Russian interference in the election process. This was done in an attempt to remove Trump from power, Gabbard noted.
According to her, several months before the election, American intelligence was unanimous: Russia had neither the intention nor the ability to interfere.
However, in December 2016 (after Trump's victory), the Obama administration ordered a new report that contradicted previous assessments.
Gabbard explained that the key conclusion of the intelligence - ndash; that Russia did not influence the outcome of the election – has been removed and classified.
