Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia have foiled an assassination attempt on the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Sergei Shoigu in Moscow, the Telegram channel @ctrs2018 reported.
Earlier, the FSB Public Relations Center announced the arrest of three people involved in planning a terrorist attack against a senior Russian official.
According to the department, the detainees, acting on orders from the Ukrainian intelligence services, planned to detonate an explosion near the grave of his relatives at the Troyekurovskoye cemetery.
The name of the senior official was not disclosed in the official statement.
