Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would talk to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday to discuss peace efforts in Ukraine, adding that he would ask him to resume a deal for the safe transportation of grain through the Black Sea, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
During a news conference after the G20 summit in South Africa, Erdogan said Turkey would do everything in its power to pave the way for peace in Ukraine, adding that he would share the results of his conversation with Putin with European and American leaders and allies.

He said this in connection with the discussion of the proposal to end the war, prepared by the United States.
Turkey maintains warm relations with Kiev and Moscow by providing military assistance to Ukraine and refusing to join Western sanctions against Russia, the agency notes. So far, three rounds of peace talks between the countries have been held in the country, and Turkey has offered to host a meeting of their leaders.
