Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in “Telegram“ that it is important that Russian assets remain blocked, while Ukraine receives financial guarantees for the coming years, Ukrinform reports, quoted by BTA.
“I am grateful to all leaders of the European Union for the decision of the European Council to provide 90 billion euros in financial support for Ukraine for the period 2026-2027. This is significant assistance that really strengthens our resilience“, Zelensky wrote.
He stressed that the freezing of Russian assets and the provision of financial guarantees are key to the country's security. The president also thanked EU leaders for the consensus reached and their unity, which, according to him, helps protect the future of Europe.
