Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump in Florida on Monday.
The visit is seen as crucial for the next steps on a fragile Gaza truce plan.
It will be Netanyahu's fifth visit to his key ally Trump in the United States this year.
His trip comes as the Trump administration and regional mediators push to move to the second phase of a truce between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Citing White House officials, the American publication Axios reported that the Trump administration wanted to announce a Palestinian technocratic government for Gaza.
While the Trump administration is interested in making progress on the Gaza issue, analysts said the prospect of Iran restoring its nuclear program and ballistic missile capabilities is likely to be at the top of Netanyahu's agenda.
Israeli media reported that Netanyahu and Trump are expected to discuss a wide range of regional issues, including Iran, negotiations on a security agreement between Israel and Syria, the ceasefire with Hezbollah in Lebanon and the next stages of the Gaza deal.
Gershon Baskin, co-chair of the Two-State Alliance peacebuilding committee, who has been involved in informal talks with Hamas, told AFP that the second phase of the Gaza truce was time to begin. He said the Americans realized it was too late because Hamas had had too much time to reestablish its presence, and it was certainly not a situation the Americans wanted to leave.
