Four people, including two children, died in a fire in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the Ministry of Health of the Kamchatka Territory told RIA Novosti.
The tragedy took place on 15/2 Gorky Street in the city.
According to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 12 people in three vehicles fought the fire. The approximate area of the fire is ten square meters.
According to rescuers, during the search, four people were found unconscious in the apartment - two children and two adult men.
“Before the ambulance team arrived, firefighters performed resuscitation measures, after which they handed the people over to the responding paramedics. Unfortunately, they could not be saved“, the department said.
Employees of the State Fire Supervision are investigating the cause of the incident.
A criminal case has been opened.
