Benjamin Netanyahu: We will strike Iran with unprecedented force in case of attack by Tehran - 1

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to strike Iran with "unprecedented force if Tehran makes the mistake" of attacking Israel, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.

"If Iran makes the mistake of attacking Israel, we will respond with force that Iran has never seen before," Netanyahu announced at a press conference in Jerusalem.

Earlier this evening, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned that it would consider "enemy" any neighboring country that has provided its territory, sea space or sky for strikes on Iran, the Fars news agency, which is close to the Revolutionary Guard, reported.

At his press conference, Netanyahu warned that calling elections right now would be a "mistake", and the reason for his words was the risk that he would lose his parliamentary majority due to disputes over the adoption of the budget.

"Of course I am worried. We are in a very delicate situation," he said in response to a journalist's question about the possibility of his being blamed for the adoption of the budget, which would essentially mean the fall of the government and early parliamentary elections.

"The last thing we need now is elections. We will hold them later this year, but not now, that would be a mistake," Netanyahu added, and called on his allies to show "reason" at least until November, when the current parliamentary session ends.

Meanwhile, the clock in Tel Aviv counting down the time Israeli hostages have been held by "Hamas" has stopped after Israel confirmed that all captives, both living and dead, have been returned, DPA reported.

The clock display in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square stopped at 843 days, 12 hours, 5 minutes and 59 seconds.

The "Times of Israel" described the event as a "significant moment."
