UAE remains at highest level of operational readiness  - 1

The government of the United Arab Emirates held a media briefing with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the National Service for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, the Embassy of the Emirates in Sofia announced.

The meeting emphasized the unified institutional approach based on transparency, coordination and a high level of readiness. The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to protecting national sovereignty, the security of citizens and residents, economic stability and the continuous functioning of essential services.

Defense and Security

The Ministry of Defense announced that the country remains at the highest level of operational readiness. The integrated multi-layered air defense systems are functioning effectively, supported by sufficient strategic reserves to sustain defense operations.

Since the beginning of the attacks:
- 186 ballistic missiles have been launched, of which 172 have been intercepted;
- 812 drones have been detected, of which 755 have been neutralized;
- 8 cruise missiles have been detected and destroyed.

As a result, there have been 3 deaths and 68 minor injuries, as well as limited material damage. Most of the damage was caused by interception operations.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the situation in all emirates remains stable, with over 3,200 specialized vehicles and over 4,100 patrol and rapid response teams mobilized.

Diplomatic measures

The UAE confirmed that its territory will not be used for military action against Iran and that it reserves its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.

The following diplomatic actions have been taken:
- Closing the UAE embassy in Tehran;
- Withdrawing the diplomatic mission;
- Summoning the Iranian ambassador;
- Handing over an official note of protest.

The country called on the international community to assume its responsibility to prevent further escalation.

Economy, Tourism and Aviation

The UAE economy remains resilient, supported by diversified trade partnerships and proactive policies. Strategic reserves of essential commodities are sufficient for a period of four to six months.

The tourism sector continues to function normally, with hotels and tourist sites operating in full compliance with safety standards.

Emergency air corridors have been activated, and the government is bearing the costs of accommodation and subsistence of affected passengers.

Continuity of essential services

Energy, water, telecommunications, transport, healthcare and supply chains are operating without interruption. Education continues via distance learning platforms, and business continuity plans have been activated as a precaution.

The UAE government reaffirms that the security of the state and the stability of society remain its top priority. The country is acting with confidence, unity, and strategic clarity in managing the current situation.
